Monday 7th December 2009 Musically Inspired Open mic night - Halo Bar Great evening with a real wild expanse of musical styles. i've been wanting to go along to this partly as it is an expression of Christian musicians out into the community around. I played Dr Who theme tune which went down a storm, then Sacred Evolution which also seemed to go down very well. Next one 28th January - same place. Saturday 5th December 2009 Dad's house Chipping Campden I took my keyboard along to a large dinner party my dad was putting on. 50 or so guests from 50-80 years old. I played some of my stuff and covers from 50's to 00's. Great fun and everyone sang along till 3am. Thursday 3rd December 2009 Unseen charity night at Cosies winebar Portland Square. First time played as a synth duo with mark Van de Poll. No Visuals this time, but great cool vibe in a basement. 70 people through the door, good response and people dancing to DJ's through the night, PA broke, so had some emergency PA borrowing mid-gig, but just about worked out OK! I'm real positive about how our music went down - they seemed to respond. It's a bit unusual but more gig's have been suggested. Also played- electro band - Fitness Club Fiasco & Legendary Tone djing electro Monday 19th October 2009 Acoustic night number 94 at Halo Bar, Gloucester Road Bristol James Bragg followed – another virgin, he accompanied himself ably on keyboards and sang “Freedom” (?), a slow, straightforward protest song (“cut us clear of this wire”) and a jazzier, more uptempo number with a more romantic thread running through. Hopefully these two virgins will feel like returning.
