| i started djing seriously 6
years ago as part of my desire to mix worship with electronic dance
music. however i've been so enjoying myself that i've become interested
in djing in itself. i've started at youth clubs, parties and special
events, but i would like to develop further, so am interested in other
possibilities.
i am really
into trance music (partly due to my love of synthesizers and first
listening to music in the early 80's, new romantic scene), but also
play house and funky stuff. there are a lot of secular songs with great
lyrics, which seem very appropriate for worshipping Jesus.

equipment
i have two pdx 2000 vestax
turntables which are fantastic, with a numark dxm09 mixer. i use final scratch which is wild.
this allows me to play my own music as on vinyl, including beat tracks,
special effects, vocals and scratches.
for
recording my own music i have various other equipment - for details

Actually my
friend Tony Silcocks has been doing the DJing more recently and I have
been leading the worship, singing and VJing instead. Great fun. Using
an excellent program called Arkaos with a lap-top and an edirol mini
keyboard to trigger visuals. Then mixing this with live camera via an
Edirol V4 video mixer. I have also started using Traktor DJ software on
my laptop with a Korg nanokontrol.
